Missing Values in an ARL grid
I have been making ARL grids with the given code used attached using MeteoInfo. Some of my grids have some missing data points in them. The normal way to encode missing data is to make it a large value outside the realm of possibility as a tag. Because of the reliance on the maximum difference in ...

Re: Top of the model
What if you change 6 -Top of model domain in the control file? This would change the meteorological model height wouldn't it? It seems that it would change the concentration output in some way. Does it just have the particles in a less tall box and have them "bounce off" the top of the model, or ...

Top of the model
What exactly happens when a particle hits the top height of the model as defined by the CONTROL file? In the user guide it says "Trajectories will terminate when they reach this level." but what happens to the concentrations? I would think it would just limit the vertical movement and carry on its ...

Re: Calculating total mass
So how does this work with the CMASS option set to 1? Would the output be the average in that height interval (with units of mass/m) or would it just get the mass in that interval?

Calculating total mass
Say I am using the EMITIMES file and define a system with a duration of an hour at 100 kg/hr at a certain height. In terms of total mass emitted, what is the difference between setting the area as 1000m^2 or as a point source with 0 m^2. I would think that the total mass is the same in each case but ...
