I can't solve the following error while running "era52arl" to convert ERA5 meteorology to ARL.
Please, can anyone provide some working samples of input grib files, to find out the reason of this failure!
./era52arl2 -i030624_3d_6h.grib -a030624_2d_6h.grib

Re: GRIB2ARL from the EXEC collection does not change projection (beyond domain error)
I think I could solve this myslef! One has to be very carefull to select proper values of -x, -y, -d and -n options to keep within the domain bounds. This is not that obvious, but finally it works!

GRIB2ARL from the EXEC collection does not change projection (beyond domain error)
I am trying to convert ERA5 data to ARL format using the GRIB2ARL procedure. It seems working properly, except that I can't change the projection from the original lat/lon to the conformal (-g0 option in the command line): the program fails with an error "ARL grid beyond the input data domain".

any way to use ADD_DATA with a subgrid of global meteoroly data?
Hello!
As the ADD_DATA tool from the EXEC collection does not works currently with the global meteoroly ARL files in latitude/longitude coordinate system, I wonder if there is any way to get a regional subgrid of global meteorology (e.g., FNL, GDAS or GFS) and add the local station meteorology into ...

Re: ADD_DATA from the EXEC collection does not add station data (out of boundary error)
Thank you, Christopher!
This is what was already my impression, but I needed a confirm.
Hi. The add_data utility is not built to handle ARL files that have a latitude and longitude coordinate system, so it won't work for global ARL files. We will consider adding this functionality into a future ...

Re: ERA5 data for HYSPLIT
Hello,
In order to convert the ERA5 data to the arl format you need 3 files:
- A dataset from "ERA5 hourly data on pressure levels from 1940 to present". Stating it simply: this is the 3D data.
- A dataset from "ERA5 hourly data on single levels from 1940 to present". This is the surface data ...

ADD_DATA from the EXEC collection does not add station data (out of boundary error)
I am trying to add my station meteorology data to the gridded ARL meteorology file, but always fail with a message like: "Station outside of gridded file boundary (lat, lon) ..". However, the coordinates of my location are definetely within the boundary of ARL file I am using. This happens with any ...

CDUMP file format (data structure)
Dear all,
Is the CDUMP output file format described somewhere - a binary data structure? I really need to read it directly.
Otherwise, is it possible to have a source code of "con2asc" executable? The CDUMP data structure should be available there.
Thanks in advance!
Dmitry

turning on deposition of gas
Dear all,
I am trying to understand how does the dry deposition remove the gaseous pollutant in my disperison run. I have noticed a feature that seems strange for me. To consider my pollutant as gas I set all the zeros in the [particle diameter, density, shape] line of the CONTROL file. Then, I set ...
