Re: HYSPLIT Output MASS matter

I am really appreciate for your kind reply and your advice.
As you know, I faced on excced particle number warning for long time.
I tried to fix the MAXPAR value, But every time that i set MAXPAR larger than that i used, 'Exceed particle number limit' message keep appear.
I think it's because ...

Re: HYSPLIT Output MASS matter

Thank you for your kind reply.

According to your reply, you said deposition layer indicate accumulated concentration. so i need to use last Output time result to calculate the total amount of mass in the deposition layer.
But i got another question about your advice.
By running the HYSPLIT model, I ...

Question about HYSPLIT total mass matter

I got 100 kg/m2/gird of HYSPLIT model results.
If i want to get a total mass of pollutant in a grid, should i multiply area of grid to concentration value? for example area of grid is 100m^2. Then Does (100m^2) * (100 kg/m^2/grid) = 10000kg/grid a total mass of polutant in a grid?
Am i right?
please ...

HYSPLIT Output MASS matter

Dear HYSPLIT Users
I used to running HYSPLIT Model to simulate Nuclear Power Plant accident.
I used kg/hr as a unit of emission rate.
I attached my default_conc below and i emphasize emission rate with Bold font and under line.

Re: Deposition output analysis

Thank you for your kind reply.
According to your reply, if i got 120/m2 as HYSPLIT model result and i want to get a hourly deposition concentration, should i divide 120/m2 with 12hour?

I really need your reply.
Thank you in advanced.

Deposition output analysis

Dear HYSPLIT User and staff.

I run HYSPLIT model with 12 hour interval meteorological data. siulation duration is 4days. Model was perfectly run and i got 9 results.

here is question.

Does each HYSPLIT results means 12 hours accumulated concentration? or does it mean average concentration of each ...

Grib2 file band change and run hysplit

Dear All

I have being used GFS0p25 data from UCAR NCAR web site for running HYSPLIT Model.
I used api2arl tool to convert Grib2 data to ARL data which need to running HYSPLIT Model. And There wasn't any error while running HYSPLIT.
But recently, I found that Grib2 file's band number have been ...

Re: What should i do to use advanced tab in DOS

Thank you for your reply Ma'am
But actually i already checked manual which you posted.
In the manual, I couldn't find the command file name or control file name which i have to adjust to change the number of maximum particles.
That is why i asked you in the hysplit forum.
So, please let me know what ...

Dear HYSPLIT Users

I already know 'hycs_std.exe' file is exe file for run hysplit/concentration simulation.
but i can not find which is 'exe'file for edit Particle/puff release number limits.
I want to know what '.exe' file is about 'advanced/configuration setup/concentration/Set particle/puff ...

Re: Question about 'Number of particle and puff'

I have one more question.

Like your reply, I set increased MAXPAR value. but 'exceeding puff limit' warning keep appear.
I set MAXPAR as 3000000 and NUMPAR as -50.
And it spends too much time to run a dispersion model.
What should i do to get a results quickly with no 'exceeding puff limit' warning ...
